iSpindel: your fermentation, live

Your iSpindel already measures gravity and temperature. Send it to Mashwerk and follow every batch live, next to the recipe it came from. A build-it-yourself Mashwerk sensor is on its way.

Connect your iSpindel in 4 steps

No extra software, no gateway.

  1. Add a sensor

In Mashwerk, open Sensors, add an iSpindel and assign it to a batch. You get a personal token and an address.

  2. Open the iSpindel portal

Put the iSpindel in configuration mode and choose the “HTTP” or “HTTPS Post” service.

  3. Paste the address

Enter the server and path shown in Mashwerk, or the path /api/ingest/ispindel with your token in the Token field.

  4. Brew

Readings appear on the batch chart at each interval you set on the iSpindel.

The curve, not just a number

Gravity and temperature are plotted against the planned OG and target FG, with attenuation, ABV and progress computed live.

  • Live chart on desktop and phone
  • Sensor status and battery voltage
  • Readings kept even before you assign a batch

What Mashwerk adds

Next to the recipe

Readings sit next to the planned OG and FG, with the style's ranges.

Attenuation and ABV

Computed live by the brewing engine from your readings.

Ask the copilot

“Is it done?”, “Why did it stall?”: answers from your actual curve.

Every batch kept

Readings stay with the batch, exportable to CSV at any time.

Questions

Does it work with my iSpindel calibration?

Yes. Your iSpindel computes gravity with its own polynomial; Mashwerk records the value it sends, along with the tilt angle and temperature.

How often should it send?

Every 15 to 30 minutes is plenty for fermentation and saves the battery.

Can I import old iSpindel data?

Yes, as a CSV file into any batch.

Is it free?

The free plan includes one sensor and 90 days of readings; Amateur+ includes five sensors and unlimited history.
